Subscriptions bill monthly or annually in advance. Credits and storage activate immediately upon payment. For example, UK users see 20% VAT added.
Getting more credits
Kive only distributes credits through subscriptions—there is no pay-as-you-go credit bundle. If you need more credits, you must upgrade to a higher tier plan. When you upgrade, you instantly receive the full credit allowance of your new plan on top of your existing unused credits. Your billing cycle resets to start from the upgrade date. Example: If you have 30 credits remaining and upgrade to a 2,000 credits/month plan, you instantly receive 2,030 credits. Your next billing date is one month from the upgrade. If you only need a temporary credit increase, you can upgrade to a higher plan and then downgrade back to your original plan after using the credits you need.Downgrades
When you downgrade to a lower tier plan, credits above your new plan’s monthly limit will be lost. Example: If you have 11,000 credits and downgrade from Pro (40/2,000 credits), you will only keep up to 4,000 credits (2x the new plan limit). You are not charged the lower plan price until your current billing cycle ends. At that point, you are charged the downgraded plan price and receive that plan’s credit allocation.Credit carry-over
Unused credits carry over to the next billing cycle, up to your monthly credit limit. When your billing cycle renews, your monthly credit allocation is added to any remaining credits, capped at your plan’s monthly limit. This allows you to accumulate up to 2x your monthly credits if you don’t use them all. All credits you receive have a one-month validity period from when they are granted. Regardless of whether you upgrade, downgrade, or change plans, your existing credits remain available until they expire.Cancel your subscription
To cancel your subscription:1
Open subscription settings
Go to Settings → Subscription

Select Cancel subscription
If you delete your workspace, the subscription tied to it will also be cancelled. However, if you delete your personal account and the workspace has other members, the workspace and its subscription will remain active.
If you’re still being charged after canceling, verify your cancellation was completed in Settings → Subscription. If you canceled after your billing date, our payment processor may retry any outstanding failed payments even after cancellation.
Refunds
Refunds are not provided for:- Subscriptions that auto-renewed (cancel before your renewal date to avoid charges)
- Credits used on generations that didn’t meet expectations — while our system automatically refunds failed generations, AI output is inherently unpredictable
- Technical failures where you were unable to use the platform
- Duplicate or accidental charges
